Wolf's Survival

Wolf's Survival

A Poem by Mike Espinosa

So cold.
The night whispers,
"No more light."

No moon.
Gods look away.
Only wolves left.

Bright fangs.
Glowing round eyes.
Howls at nothing.

No Stars.
The lonely sky.
Hovers on us.

No Sun.
No one returns.
We are alone.

One lunge.
The first mouthful.
One last bellow.

No help.
The night murmurs,
"Goodnight, you fools."

f**k cool! The flow to this is amazing Mike:)
You have managed to continue each new stanza from the last and the structure is great:)
I often wonder what the world, nature, elements think of us as we meander on our journeys! xx

I'm slightly curious as to what the wold symbolizes. But that just might be me looking into something that doesn't have anything to look at!
I like... the feeling it projected. Or, the emotion is radiated?
I'm not too sure, only that seeing as I was able to finish reading it it was something that can capture the interest of even the most distracted of minds.

The fact that you were able to keep me reading it is a great feat in and of itself.

Oh, the personification, I liked that too.
And the repetition.

"No Moon...
No Stars...
No Sun...
No Help..."
