CaterpieA Poem by Mike EspinosaI scurry down past the bushes and the trees. I scurry down through the scattered piles of leaves. I scurry down 'cause I'm a Caterpie. I'm a Caterpie. I see the shadow looming overhead. I feel the wind blowing at my back. That b*****d's keen eye- critically landing his sky attack. I'm thrashing to the ground, knowing it's my grave that I burrow. I feel the chill sprint up my spine. I feel the fear- Oh, I see the Fearow- 'cause I'm a Caterpie. I lay buried in the clouds- motionless, I look to the sky. The sun blocked by the shadow. The wind echoing their battle cry. I hear a rustle underneath screaming. The wind slowing to a halt. One last blow across my battered skull- and with that I am caught. I'm a Caterpie. I'm a commodity.
