MC™A Poem by Mike Espinosa
I dreamt of you last night.
Your angelic voice echoing in my ears. Your words appearing to me in the most beautiful grammar. My heart pounding fast with excitement. My mouth conforming to a smile not seen in months. Your face resonating in my mind. Your smile slowly fading into the past as the tears roll down my saddened cheek. Not a day passes where I'm not reminded of you. I named my main vehicle after you So that I can still feel your presence in my painfully empty world. So that I can continue my pursuit to find you again in this life. You are my Summer. My season of peace. My Eastern star, lighting my way in the dark. My sea star, surfing over the waves of turmoil. My future, the light-years flying by. You are my hemp-laced rose, beauty wrapped with an ideology. I'd crawl into the Lion's den, if you were my Leo. I'd brave the harshest bear hug, if you were my Ursa. I'd run with the bulls, if you were my Taurus. I lost my definition of love the day I lost you. © 2010 Mike Espinosa |
