Prologue (Disclaimer)

 I suppose I always used to believe monsters weren't real, that there was no way anything half as scary as demons, aliens, vampires, or werewolves could exist in our world. Of course, that was before I realized that such a monster could and did already exist, before I understood that the greatest enemy the human race will ever have to face, the biggest monster it will ever have to fight is itself. Welcome, friends. What you're about to read is a precious gem in the foundation of the history of the earth. If you choose not to listen, the consequences will be dire. History WILL repeat itself.
