RIP my precious jewel

This is a poem in loving memory of a cat I really loved, no, still love, called Ruby. Although she was not actually my own cat, I still had a beautiful, close bond with her.

You dazzled my life with such love, joy and wonder.

Now that you're gone, there's a constant storm of thunder.

A deep, red, glittering jewel you were,

true to your name, Ruby, but with jet black fur.

Such a loyal, loving, sweet companion you were to me,

as beautiful, lovable and charming as can be.

My tears are currently uncontrollable,

as I am indeed, inconsolable.

Although from earth you have gone away, 

forever in my heart is where you shall stay.
