Lost in the WorldA Poem by midnightsunshineWhat is it like to feel truly lost?
They said hold your breath and count to ten,
It will take away the pain. That seared, Like daggers, cutting wounds that will never heal again. A shroud of darkness envelops me As the waterfalls cascade. Time cannot heal all things, For memories do not fade. As ribs protrude and knees are weak, Your entire being feels misplaced. Every meal you refuse, And the scars leave your body defaced. But the darkness seems to recede, Love and happiness impending. But darkness was always lurking, For there is no happy ending. © 2013 midnightsunshineAuthor's Note
