To My Mom

To My Mom

A Poem by Michaela
"

Please hold out for one more day

"

You said you would never go

You would stay and watch me grow.

Please don't leave me here alone,

I've never done this on my own.

You want to run and I know why

But you are my only alibi

You just can't leave me here you know

No matter how the wind will blow

I am an anchor to you

There is nothing I can do

It's not my fault it's worked this way

Please hold out for one more day.

Of course I have my friends,

But you're the one I'll have till the end

I've never really needed you more

Inside I'm at a war

I can be a pain sometimes

But we all commit our crimes

When everything is said and done

On my own will be no fun

So just hold on for one more day,

There's nothing else for me to say.

And if you leave I want you to know

Our love will never cease to grow.
