Liar

Liar

A Poem by Michaela
"

We all make mistakes

"

You were the one thing that I did right

You were my sun in the dark of night

I was afraid and totally unsure

But for my love there was no cure

Without you my life's a cloudy day

But to me you have nothing to say

I lied to you and I pay the price

And now your heart is just like ice

My conscience is at a tug-of-war

Are you one that I should adore?

Should I move on, is my time done?

My love has already been outdone

I let my heart say goodbye

I'll leave you with a final sigh

But if you ever think of me

Know in my heart you'll always be

The tears that fell cannot be undone

This will be one battle left unwon
