I like the night.

I like the night.

A Poem by Edward Martin
"

The sense of another world

"

The afternoon sets in and it's getting dark

I made plans to ingest drugs and meet in the park

My best friend is a dead head and supports my art

So I bag up the acid and dress to embark.

A couple milligrams of valium jumpstart my night.

Cause liquid acid has a serious impact on vibes,

We all arrive at the tree house real excited and primed

All the tongues become painted with a substance divine.

The evening progresses and the bond is immense

Each soul is at peace as the body laments

Some ask questions that nobody prevents,

While the rest ponder eagerly the godliest sense.

Here in the night we are one with the stars

And here in the darkness we find our resolve,

As we flew through space into the distant bizarre

We gained a perspective on the way that we are.
