LiesA Poem by Winter Red TearsI question myself and what I believe in.If I could have my way then all the fools would be dead dying in their own blood lying right next to each other still linking hands and believing in the afterlife. It's one little lie god let them keep saying they would meet once more again Silently the truth watches from a distance shaking its head when the fools accept this with a smile Whats the point in seeking love? Love is a lie We only want attention from one because we are human, we believe that we are special God let us believe in that little lie What was the point in telling the truth if we all have the same end? vanishing into nothing, not even a trail of blood follows Love is nothing, its only something we all want because we need to feel special, we humans are just that self-centered If I had my way, none would be left All would be down, left and right God told us we were different Truth knew that we shared one thing no matter what A certain death, a certain end, no matter what, that is our end. A thousand silver rain drops Only one was crimson Truth could only laugh when its secret was revealed and the light shone on the gods lies when that one red drop bled through the silver sea A scream A cry A heart breaking sob Why did God let us believe in the lies? Why didn't the truth speak up? the silver rain let up, and the rain spoiled it with red. It's even worse than the end, why live through this storm? Lying on the ground They smile as they die in the red sea God lied, why couldn't they see it Truth still sits silently watching from a distance
