Love Divine

Love Divine

A Poem by Midnight Dreams
"

I wish I could write the title of this poem, its there somewhere in the mind.....

"

Rhythm, rhyme and thinking of a valentine,

Thinking of the soft and delicate flowers,

Of music, that is created inside the eyes,

Soft and melodious strains in the air,

An art of striking a soundless chord,

Thinking of an evening in pink and purple,

Of a silent dance to an unvoiced tinkle,

Of a delight that only two hands can handle,

Soaring up high in the sky with Love Divine,

Rhythm, rhyme and thinking of a valentine!

"Thinking of an evening in pink and purple,
Of a silent dance to an unvoiced tinkle,"
I loved this couplet a lot, it is so strong and so beautifully written. The imagery in this piece is outstanding.
"Soaring up high in the sky with Love Divine,
Rhythm, rhyme and thinking of a valentine!"
The ending is simply perfect, leaving the reader to paint their own picture..
And they way the first and last lines are same and yet creating different meaning by the way they have been arranged in the poem..Loved this one!

Ps, suggestion for title - "A Daydream of the Valentine"

Oh this was perfectly lovely. So many beautiful lines....my favorites are:
"An art of striking a soundless chord"
"Thinking of an evening in pink and purple"
and I liked the way you repeated the first and last line. Good work!

A suggestion for a title "An evening in pink and purple".....??
