GlobalizationA Poem by Midnight DreamsHistory written in my book, says That man’s spirit of enquiry and adventure, Has broken all the barriers. The World divided earlier into many parts Has become one whole now. Distances have been narrowed and Man prepares to attain a global role. Raising my head from the book, I look around, And find, That the world has become small, But distance between man and man Has attained oceanic width. Battles have been less But there have been world wars. The World has become one But has broken into pieces. Conspiracies are international, Violence, apathy, disaster Have become global. Festivals in one part of the world, Are not celebrated in another parts, But fire broken in one part, Enflames the whole world. Seasons of joy are still different But Seasons of hunger and apathy are same. And Man in his temerity for globalization, Has been entrapped by the disaster of Globalization. © 2010 Midnight Dreams |
