Humanity

Humanity

A Poem by Midnight Dreams

It is a part of-
a flower's sweet fragrance,radiance of a sunlit sky,
a colorful rainbow at the horizon,
a chid's innocent smile,a skylark's song,
a breeze that flows in palaces and sheds alike.
It is found at once in-
a fluttering page of,a book of history,
a beaming face of a farmer working in the fields,
a glowing pair of eyes of a wrinkled old face,
It is so easily available that-
a new born child holds it gently,
in his soft fisted palm,
Why do they say that in today's world-
its uncommon, unusual, rare.

There are some questions which can never be answered, some emotions which can never be expressed, surely humanity is one of them...but you have done a great job in this poem by proving it wrong that we can not define some feelings, you just did.
"It is so easily available that-
a new born child holds it gently," Then why do we say that Humanity is so rare to find these days, you changed and also questioned the scenario of mankind.
It is a very deep piece of writing, great poem!

it is beautifully penned. Yet the last line leaves a question unanswered. It's painfully sad but true that it's uncommon because even it's there we can't see it, as we're not WILLING to see; It's unusual because we've made ourselves so unaccustomed to it..it is rare. Because not every one thinks this way. A very good write. Wish we can change our perspective towards humanity.. So that a poet's heart will not cry at it's so-called fate!
