Roses on Valentine's Day

Roses on Valentine's Day

A Poem by Midnight Dreams

I asked a Rose Bush to do this for me........

Grow a bud,

Let the wind caress it,

Let the Sun fill it with colour,

Let the water give it softness,

Let the birds give it a song,

Then let it have colour but not one,

Then let it be soft but more from inside,

Then let it sing but a silent song,

Then let it bloom but only half,

Then let me have it,

This little flower speaks a hundred words,

And thats how a thousand flowers bloom.

Author's Note

Midnight Dreams
Someone discreetly gave some flowers to me on Valentine's Day and I discreetly accepted them. I am not sure who he was and he does not know I accepted them. But flowers have their own language to speak......

What a beautiful piece of writing it is and how rarely do we come across a poem like this..
I simply loved this piece of writing a lot, specially these closing lines which concluded the entire poem so beautifully well!
A very vivid and intriguing piece of writing it is..
Great work :)
