Seasons Dreaming

Seasons Dreaming

A Poem by Leah Natalie

Sunset on a summer’s field

Dew drops on a winter’s day

Ducks upon a springtime pond

Smell of leaves, an autumn night.

May your dreams go round and round,

Like a fairground carousel,

Never ending, always turning,

Hope of childhood dreams returning.

Sunset on a summer’s night.

Dew drops on a winter’s field.

Ducks upon a springtime lake.

Smell of leaves, an autumn day.

Seems like a happy poem. I really like how it changes seasons fluidly and not very abruptly. It's a calm kind of happy and I really enjoy it. Great job! :)

This was absolutely wonderful! The dreams and innocence written in this poem are spinning around my head at this very moment, and the physical "spinning" (field, day, pond/lake, night) of this poem adds a unique structure that reflects the idea of a fairground carousel beautifully. Brings back to me such pure childhood moments, not that long ago for me... Truly well-penned.

There is such a gentle beauty you express across the seasons... yes, a dreamish, enchanted feeling that carries us over time... Indeed, childhood dreams awaken the world.

I have been thinking of the seasons as seasonings of life; they have different feels and tastes, if you understand. I want to work on a write in that direction. The seasons are simmering our lives away! Great write; been thinking in your general direction!!

I absolutely adore this, and there is no better way to end the day with a brilliant sunset followed by a lovely dream. Wonderful!
