Day and Night

Day and Night

A Poem by Leah Natalie
"

A poem I wrote at midnight when I was eight :)

"

The waves crash upon the shore

Hear the oceans mighty roar

The shells lay small upon the sand

Two people standing hand in hand

The sun beams a golden light

Until the moon brings back the night

The waves crash upon the shore

Hear the oceans mighty roar

The sky hung like a blacked sheet

While the stars meet and greet

The moon shines a slivery grey

Until the sun brings back the day.

Saw your note about when you wrote this! It is a lifting glimpse of day and night.. darkness and light.. peace and turbulence.. all singing over us. Beautiful!

you have done good bringing up the contrast and relation between day an night. and it was when you were eight years old. so, it's commendable

I love your youthful poem! I love the poems that I wrote as a child, too, because they are so filled with an innocent view of the world. Thanks for sharing this timeless gem!!
