Such a Nasty CurseA Poem by *Evelen*To fall in love is a nasty curse, A course you can’t control. Rash emotions fill your mind. Impulse decisions are made all the time. Wanting to be closer, Needing your lover, Not really caring for yourself, But only caring for the other.
There is no more pride when in love, You do stupid things all the time. You can’t control your burning cheeks, As you look at those eyes that make you weak. Feeling stupid as you notice you’re wrapped around his finger, And there’s nothing you can do but fallow his wishes.
When in love questions fill your mind. Sometimes you’re too scared to ask them, Yet sometimes you’re foolish enough to risk it. When in love his arms are your home, Your protection from the outside world. His eyes show you your future, Gleaming with such intensity, With such beauty.
Yah… Being in love can be a nuisance, You can never seem to control who you fall for. Pathetic yet romantic, Heart flutters yet heartbreaks Anything can happen With such a nasty curse. © 2010 *Evelen*Author's Note
