My Light

Make me cry

Make me scream

Make me feel something

When he’s not here with me

 

My heart is empty

My heart is lost

I feel so blind

Where is my light?

 

This darkness won’t let him

Get anywhere near me

Not until it breaks me down

Leaving me so weak and weary

 

He tries his hardest

To break through the darkness

To break through this barrier

That surrounds me

That chokes me up inside

He yells and screams

As he watches me fall down

My weak body just flopping

To that harsh ground

 

I lay there unconscious

Thinking about him

Nothing seems right

Nothing makes sense

Until I feel that warm touch

Lift me from that cold ground

When I open my eyes

And see my light
