I Will Love Him Always

The man I used to hate the most came up to be today with a smile plastered on his face.

“You love me don’t you.”, It was a statement. He didn’t ask. He just assumed I suppose.

I smiled and shook my head in disagreement. Silently laughing to myself remembering how it used to be so hard for me to say no, but now it was too easy.

I grabbed the necklace that was dangling from my neck. Two hearts were intertwined, and I looked up at him with a smile. No pain in my eyes.

“I have a boyfriend you see.”, I told him happiness filling my eyes. “He’s as amazing as can be. So sweet and caring. He’s never made me cry. He loves me for me, and I love him for him.”, I explained to him.

“He fixed me.”, I stated with a blank face towards him. “I don’t hate you anymore. For that was the past, and plus I just don’t care anymore. “, I admitted as I looked down from his face. I felt so happy so free. “I love him and that’s all that matters.”, I told him with a sweet smile.

“He’ll break you.”

“No he won’t. If he does… it was all worth it anyways.”, I admitted as my smile grew bigger. “No matter what I’ll always love him.”, I told him to his face. After that I was completely free. From all the bad memories that haunted me.  But I never really remembered them anyways. Ever since my heart was fixed by, such a sweet guy.
