Some Of Us

Everyone wonders why they can't find love

Some us actually think that we found love

Some of us have never been broken

And a lot of us don't know how it feels to be whole

Most of us have fallen

And some of us are smart enough to stay standing

A lot of us have learned to let go

While the rest of us are struggling to hold on

A small amount of us have given up completly

The rest just keep wondering why they can't

Some of us cry every night

While the rest are holding on to him tight

A tiny piece of me still loves the way he smiles

And every bit of me needs to see his face

Yet at the same time I push him away

To afraid to admit that I still love him

Hoping that I will get over him one day

Wow. Your poem really spoke to me. I get where all of it can be based on everyone and then at the same time, based on you or me or bob down the street. I like how you used polar opposites to show how love is universal. Really great!
