Grey Sky

Grey Sky

A Poem by Arpita Mondal

"Why do you love me? I'm not even beautiful," she asked after pointing out all her flaws and imperfections.

Watching her face glow with the twilight glitter, I couldn't help but reply, "You're like a grey sky. You're beautiful, even though you don't want to be."

The contradiction and paradox by using a grey sky.. wonderfully multilayered and making me think about it over and over... Everybody could interpret this in a way that is so personal... makes it a great poem in my eyes. Don't stop writing, looking forward to seeing your words tremble my emotions.

Perfection is overrated. Our flaws makes us who we are. 😊
