Since You've Been GoneA Poem by Arpita Mondal
But I don't even see you
Within my sight I look around, frantically Again and again, in hope That you'll step out of the darkness With glitters in your eyes And leaving stardust behind As you walk ahead of me Holding my hand a bit too tightly As if never wanting to let go. But it rains instead And what remains of me Is the roaring of this heart Drenched in pain and agony I see my pitiful life slipping through The gaps between my fingers And as I try to mend myself I wonder what's louder? The demons screaming inside me Or the thunder tearing apart the sky. © 2018 Arpita MondalReviews
