Teenagers

Teenagers

A Poem by Marie Erica

we’re the people you get warned about in magazines

watch out for the teenagers they’re dangerous

cover your head carry a weapon

don’t let them convince you they’re human

too

but what you don’t understand is

we are

we are human too

and we think and act and look

because we have malleable brains malleable bodies

and we’re trying not to be

contaminated
