to all the short people
to all the thin people
to everyone that feels physically small
to everyone who would love to be taller

Don't wish away that which makes you amazing

to everyone tall and awkward
to everyone who fills a little too much space
to everyone who would give anything

in order to feel perfect and small

to anyone that slouches to feel comfortable with their stature
to anyone that would rather sit in public than take up space with their presence
to anyone that curls into a ball when they sleep, or cry
to anyone that tucks their arms in to their chest when being hugged

in order to feel secure, cared for, and small

Close your eyes, open your mind
think of all the stars in the heavens
think of all the people on this Earth
think of all the seconds your heart has beat and how many seconds it has left
Suddenly you will begin to feel small
scared
