My Love

My Love

A Poem by A

I packed your bags
Placed money in the consul
Filled your car with gasoline
Parked out front
Buckled you in
Started the engine
Kissed you on the head
Then you were gone
My love
Lord would I give anything for you back
But I needed an escape
Love was killing me slowly
So you had to go

Weeks
Months
Centuries
I lay in my grave
With memories of you
Shipping you off didn't help
My love
For love never leaves
Even when you do
