Oso

Oso

A Poem by A

I have Oso
(A bear spelled out
Spanish style)
wearing Kakis
with stitched up pockets
and button
seemingly useless
made of a fabric
that is
Nothing special
a blue t-shirt
bearing the smallest
of shirt pockets in existence
containing
Nothing special
tennis shoes
tiny enough
for an infant
clunky
with strings
that don't affect
the way they are worn
falling off left and right
as if they are
Nothing Special
but he is you
and you are him
I hug him
as I drift off
to sleep
because I cannot
always hold you
in my arms
I love my stuffed Oso
but compared
to you
he is
Nothing Special
