my letters

the first thing you may notice
is that i haven't capitalized a single letter

i am whispering
i don't want you to hear me

you have seen poems like this before
you aren't going to ask if i'm alright
you will read to the end
just like every other poem
and rate my poetry

silly you, now you are reading into my words
now you're going to ask
see how i have you spinning in circles

i am whispering, because i don't want you to hear
i don't want you to ask
i want to be forgotten
and to slip away without a second thought

read this poem softly
and slowly forget about me
let me drift away
