Fighting to WinA Poem by Mickey EllisonPassion isn't always the victor
It always started the same A friendly wrestling game “Just having fun. . . “ We promise. But the first time One was hurt A too hard fall on the dirt Or an elbow to the chin The flailing would begin Arms swinging Legs kicking Tongue wagging flail To try to justice for the wrong that was caused With a bloody nose Or a fist to the jaw. But something I learned early In I think, the 20th such scuffle If you control your flail Act cooly instead You’ll most likely come out ahead. Take one arm behind his back Put his head in a headlock Let him flail about a bit Then ask for the proverbial “uncle”.
