Frozen Abyss

Frozen Abyss

A Poem by Lost in Wonderland

Here I go again

Venturing into the frozen abyss

Fingers of frost bite nip my vulnerable skin

With each drop of ice-cold rain

I run toward shelter

Desperate to find lovely warmth again

But alas,

It seems an eternity away...

as such a nice poem about life. I've been through some rough patches in life and in a way felt frozen inside... just searching for the warmth, or as you say, "Desperate to find lovely warmth again." Such a well written work and very reflective of how some people feel in life.

So desperate, very good :)

This made me feel cold--and on a morning in May! You do a good descriptive job.

I really enjoyed this poem. If it werent for the author's note I would have thought this was an extended metaphor about "venturing into" the unknown, unsure about where you are heading and yet sure of what you would like to find "lovely warmth". Either way it is short and sweet, I loved it. Great write!
