Breaking Free

Breaking Free

A Poem by Aly~RaWRs
"

got bored again another random poem

"

I lay here in my torture cell

Crying my eyes out

Hearing their laughter

Screaming at the pain

Oh how I wish I could be free

To just flutter away

To soar in the sky

To feel the warm sunshine

Oh how this pain never ends

Surging through my small body

When will this all end?

Shattering sounds replace the laughter

Flapping is heard around me

But why can’t I leave

Why can’t I get out?

To never be with my loved ones

And my friends…

Squirming, struggling, and fighting to get out

The darkness seeping into my mind

Blast, my eyes are blinded

What’s that bright light?

Are those my friends I see?

Waiting for me?

I leap forward and to my surprise

I have broken out of my torture cell

And appeared as a beautiful butterfly.
