(Here is a picture of one of my random drawings, which was dedicated to someone special)
It
is among the "poorest" communities where you can find the true meaning
of what being a human really is, of what happiness really is. And I say
"poorest" based on society's definition of what it means to live among
the "least" fortunate (not being able to live "comfortably"). Anyways...
among the "poor", where there is a lot less material fortune and a lot
more appreciation of the simplest things in life. Where nothing else
matters but to survive, all material things have no value and building
of the spirit is important. There is no competition, no arrogance;
getting one decent meal and struggling to keep a roof over one's head,
THAT is the biggest concern each day. There is no make up or photoshop
to try to cover the truth, and people starve not by choice but because
life can be rough for some. People among the "poorest" have no choice
but to be strong in spirit, because their physical is weak and faith is
all that they have to hold on to. But people among the "poorest" are
also the richest of them all. People that are strong in spirit are the
most humble and the most appreciative of what life has given to them.
Appreciating the simplest things in life, like the sun that warms you,
the birds that sing to you, the air you breath, and the presence of the
people you love is what being a human is all about. When we let the fog
of materialism and greediness blind us, we are faced with the earthly
demons of depression, anxiety and insecurity; UNHAPPINESS. People among
the "poorest" might be considered the least fortunate in the eyes of
society, however these are the richest people because they know what
true HAPPINESS feels like.
