A Poem by Hviske

its 5:21 am

i cant sleep

...

 awake in bed

scared

scared

 scared of tommorow

what will i face

....

i think about it

 a world full of ignorance

full of arogance

 full of hate

 a world where only

sex

money

and power

rule our existence

everything else

love,

morality, emotion, culture

is lost in an abysmal hole of vanity

makes me not want to get up

makes me not want to think

makes me not want to breathe

now breathe

::sigh::

maybe we should be scared of tommorrow

maybe tommorrow will makes us stonger

or maybe it will just kill us

but i get up

i get dressed and head out into tommorrow

What a wonderful although sad poem! What a finely shaped view of your fears.

Although what you say about today's life and world is more than true, there's still so much beauty and kindness in it.

Please try to think of every day as an adventure; without adventures - happy or sad, life might as well be a gigantic rock floating in infinite darkness.

Thank you so very much for sharing. Take courage amongst friends.

We all get moments where we wake up in the middle of the night and have these dreadful thoughts, you just happened to portray that situation perfectly with your poem.

Thanks for sharing!
