A Pill for the WorldA Poem by BrokenWingedPhoenixIt seems that every time we turn around doctors are throwing pills at us, namely anti-depressants. This poem is a summary of my lots on the subject. Peace. My soul is shaking, heart is a loss. My mind is breaking, shuddering, and quaking. My stomach reeks of yesteryears woes, My bones lay shatter, gathered, and strewn. El cirujano stands erected with perilous eyes, Perverse and deformed lies the beak of a prey, El brazos protracted and plotting a remedy. “We’ll call it depression”, “Now take one of these and don’t try to think.” For tomorrow no one will care if you heed, reflect or speak. The world is a loss with prescriptions of woe, All are dejected, poor and deprived, Disheartened, despondent, sad and contrived. Do not fret my feathered friends, For there is a tonic or two that will clear those vast incarnate
blues. © 2015 BrokenWingedPhoenixFeatured Review
