Tuxedo the cat

A story about my cat Tuxedo

Tuxedo the cat woke up one morning on a bright sunny day, he stretch his legs, let out a big yawn and gave himself a nice morning bath. Tuxedo got up, he had some breakfast and he jumped off the porch. Tuxedo walked towards the woods and Annie the dog saw him walked by and asked him “Where are you going on a beautiful sunny day?” “I am going into the woods to have an adventure,” replied Tuxedo. “Have fun,” said Annie. “I will, “said Tuxedo. Tuxedo bounded up the hill and into the woods. In the woods Tuxedo sat down on the ground and said to himself. “What kind of an adventure should I have today? I know I will explore the woods some more.” And off he went again. Tuxedo crossed the little creek to get to the other side of the woods. A butterfly flew by Tuxedo and he went after it. After a while Tuxedo got board playing with the butterfly and he walked away going deeper into the woods. Its midday and it as gotten really hot outside, so Tuxedo lay down in a nice shady spot and he took a nap. A couple hours later, Tuxedo woke up and he continues his journey. Tuxedo heard a snap, he perked up his ears and he looked around to see what made the sound, but he could not see what made the sound, so Tuxedo kept on walking. Up the hill Tuxedo went, going really far into the woods now. Tuxedo met another cat in the woods and they touched each other on the nose, then the two cats went their separate ways. It was time for Tuxedo to go back home, so he crossed the little creek, went up the hill, once Tuxedo was on top of the hill, he saw Michelle. Tuxedo meowed and walked on over, so he could be petted. Michelle waited for Tuxedo to come to her. “Tuxedo, Kitty, Kitty,” said Michelle getting low to the ground to pet Tuxedo. Then Lily the dog came running up behind Michelle and she chased after Tuxedo to play with him, but Tuxedo was not interested in playing with the dog, so Tuxedo ran across the gravel the drive way and into the woods. Night time has come, Tuxedo the cat walked out of the woods for the last time for today and he jumped back on to the porch, Tuxedo found a nice comfy spot, to curl up on and he went to sleep to dream about what kind of an adventure he will have tomorrow.

Thanks for sharing. Your story is charming. If I may suggest three things that might help your readers:
The story would be easier to read if you used standard paragraph form. In a few places the verb tense changes from past tense to present tense. A spell checker won't find words that have different correct spellings than the word you intend, an example is "board" instead of "bored."

I would read it aloud to my cats, but they are all napping just now. Maybe later.

Oh my god, this story is adorable! This is probably the best story I've read all day, I'm not kidding! Story-wise, it is magnificent. if you haven't guessed already I like cats.
