ImperviousA Poem by Michelle GentEmpowering yourself and not giving in to bullies
Impervious-
Like arrows to a shield stereotypes, labels, nicknames thwarting your way People will always try to define you You can decide to be a target allowing poison arrows to enter your blood stream Or be indifferent and let them fall to the wayside Having little to no affect Leaving your adversaries defenseless Who you are doesn't have to be decided for you by outside influences Love the person you are Don't become someone your not To please others You'll never be happy masquerading Besides how long could you keep up the charade When contented, self assured, indifferent No one will ever disarm you The strongest of weapon's is empowerment © 2015 Michelle GentAuthor's Note
