JesseA Poem by Michelle Gentode to my nephew
Jesse-
Golden boys' orange rind smile And milk chocolate eyes melt away my heart His seraphim face mesmeric crystal ball Sparkling on New Year's Eve Platinum fly away hair and carefree persona takes him wherever a whim blows Broken wing, scarred, yet soars level headed and grounded never cross A sprinter rising to any challenge with ease and confidence Making a handicap a viable asset Easily leaping hurdles as family anxiously looks on Anticipating your arrival at the finish line Seeing you turn the corner, we go wild Screaming and shouting your name The loudest in decibel's within a crowd Watching as you break through the yellow tape at the finish line a flash, a gasp, a cheer Spoils to the victor Golden boy a winner as always in our eyes © 2015 Michelle GentAuthor's Note
