Autumn AblazeA Poem by Michelle GentAbout fall
Autumn Ablaze-
Autumn leaves descend from trees Scattering like stuffed down-feathers escaping from punctured pillows Billowing gracefully earthbound Creating a cozy comforter to nest upon Leaves vibrant and soothing hues of amber and terracotta Spiraling daydreams descend expelling Like a lung exhaling Discontentment no longer present Only an enchanted forest remains Campgrounds wait apprehensively For picnic basket wielding campers with skewers in their hands Animated postures and vociferous explosions Until brisk autumn air and campfire tames wild beasts Becoming relaxed newly born lambs savoring S'mores Telling campfire tales beneath the stars In fuzzy sweaters and under patchwork blankets Autumns ablaze with so many colors, textures and emotions © 2015 Michelle GentAuthor's Note
