Honey Bee Dance/ Maple Syrup JiveA Poem by Michelle GentBirds, Bees, Nature- cute story
Honey Bee Dance/ Maple Syrup Jive-
Amber sap runs down a tree One is made into maple syrup The other honey Yet they look exactly the same One encapsulates bugs Immortal as Dorian Gray The other bugs, hard working, creating Natures symphony and masterful ballet Stinger dipped painted brushes Capture pinwheel hues spectrum Dipping, double dipping, mixing Marbleizing, splattering, cross pollinating Tapping trees with spouts Thick amber oozing mouths Relieving bark of bite Thick as molasses and long as summer days Knock, knock, knock tapping the still for more Draining the vein Harmonious, tantalizing, impregnated Ready and ripe to be plucked there for the taking an abundant remixing of nature Just barely scratching the surface for gold Honey comb hives redecorated In shades of botanical splatter Musical drones making quite the racket Whistling while they work the hive buzzing In the tree mile club there's music, good times And laughter © 2015 Michelle GentAuthor's Note
