as a bestfriend

A Poem by Princesstearss

the first time she admitted she did it she said it
never hurt her it was a slight sting and the blood appearing was just something normal something she recognized. she said the razor did not hurt her mind had her
Held hostage. what is happening.. Shutup and look at yourself
You are worthless. The mirror lied to her a lie so believable because the words that came
from others mouths to describe her where oh so
Bitter. her heart was innocent & love so pure. But she didn't think so. She wanted
To change herself. She wanted to be like the others.
So she overworked herself, she skipped meals she looked down at the scale went running until she saw something she liked. But it still wasn't enough.
And as she grew , boys started to notice her and she seemed more happy, but only one knew it wasn't & it was the one who she admitted it to... Although the changes in our lives might seperate us I will always love you ... Happy birthday

'So she overworked herself, she skipped meals she looked down at the scale went running until she saw something she liked. But it still wasn't enough.' This speaks so clearly about what many go through on a daily basis. I know too many who cut themselves because it is the only way they are able to cope with the stress that comes with wanting to fit in. We should all be lucky enough to have best friends who understand and within whom we can entrust our deepest, darkest secrets. This is a very powerful piece.
