Eventual Euphoria

a poem by Michelle Mejia

Dear heart, why so pale?

Just like a flower during spring, full of hue you used to be.

Just like air, each flow of wind epitomized the harmony of your beating.

Dear heart, why so frail?

Reminiscing on what could have been,

reflecting on what it meant for everything to seem so hollow.

Dear heart, why so numb?

Don't you feel, the prodigious turmoils

slowly becoming, a part of you?

Look up.

Can’t you see ragged currents flowing in the sky,

as in despair wonders, where its stars hide?

You constantly wonder, what went wrong?

Why is the sky filled with thunder?

Your eyes mirror a trembling sea,

as your mouth can't delineate the utter pain you feel.

In our world, we spoke about visiting space,

whilst closely listening to the music of spheres.

We were sleepless that night,

unsure of how we felt,

waiting on each other,

waiting to feel what we knew as a loving hand.

For a first poem this isn't bad. However, I do have to ask, what do you mean by listening to the music of spheres? And what kind of poem is this?
