Easter again Easter

Easter again Easter

A Poem by Michael Oliver

                And a radiant id

                Moons annual dogma

                Bright tangents the sky

                Summoning a rite

                In open eyed hiding

                The green man leaf shelters

Masked " from the silver bow

                And her fierce hunting

                The seductress screaming

                With cloaks of soft assay

                Destruction and a gleam

                The God head sacrifices

                This play of sordid lust

                 In our timeless fleeing

                 And a bloodless passion

                 Of yearly conscience

                 And the green blade rises

                 The new hope is born

                 From a deeper ‘whatever’

With a slaughter and a truth

can't have the peace without the slaughter first...but from the chaos, a certain Good rises----the resurrection of sense.

I like capturing the world in various mediums for a long time I was a painter, but more recently I realize the same imperative can be used to direct words as well as brushes. more..
