The falling leaf

The falling leaf

A Poem by Michael Oliver

No points of erudition this smooth falling

No point of the progress to articulate

Even a green spiral of given thought

Belies the time the space and speculation

What a smooth falling it is...the pendulum sway of the leaf as it descends to the ground...the poetic hand you enlightened us with here is most brilliant!

the falling leaf, falls to its death...too much time to think, as the wind causes it to sway back and forth...

yet the falling leaf of memory or of articulation...seems to find no breeze to hold it up.
