Spring Clarity

Spring Clarity

A Poem by Michael Oliver
"

Looking out of my window one morning

"

And the song unwinds it’s melody

The sky - listens - a silent spread

Hovered in embrace - the sunlit world

Leisures a roundness as trunks reform

This window dialogue - beyond stripes - allows

Passing time to balance stillness -waiting

Sitting - my confinement - exposes in enclosure

The stirring of a latent expectation

Of soft tropes and innocent warmth

Threads are woven strand by strand

Layered breath upon layered proposition - proof

Thought discovers the mirror - Spring

there is spring in the air...but propositions and possibilities unwind...and what kind of expectations have we had for ourselves...and have we woven ourselves into what we want to see in the mirror?
i really like the use of "leisures" as a verb...

first line i i read as "its melody"----

this is such a good poem about discovering who we are...and how nature mirrors that with its changes.

a perfect dream-scape with the sun coming through the nature vs nature scene. My favorite line,"The window dialogue" that captures everything this piece evokes, being in life and it's reactants on the other side ..excellent piece

I like capturing the world in various mediums for a long time I was a painter, but more recently I realize the same imperative can be used to direct words as well as brushes. more..
