Winter Music

Winter Music

A Poem by Michael Oliver

The yellow moon of morning frosts
Breath a white murmur on the tiles
The season is here - is now - now
The air jaundiced as the catalyst fails
The white quietly of the roofs
Afternoon shadow is the searching
Season's long light quest - for a - a
Across empty water's 'Logos'
The water - transparent - nothing
Nor from it's eternal flowing
No finiteness called - to stand on
No - not yet - a summons of God
Turmoil , directionless, flinging
Branches closing the corridor
Surfaces amok - confusion
Instances no expectation
At the halt facing hopes ending
The king - stone enthroned -blind inert
Wordless  - with unknown carve - smiling
Smiling in the silent dark - waits

nature as it is more then less the effort of being one with spirit of humanity..we await the solstices in reins of our hibernation for enlightenment to peek in cusp of reason...excellent piece

"the white quietly of the roofs" splendid snow image...

winter breathes and we tense up...hopes end with winter, and we just wait again for the light.
