The bridge view

The bridge view

A Poem by Michael Oliver
"

hiis constant bridge crossing give me so many ideas as I briefly stop and look into the water flowing by. This one was written in the spring

"
From this bridge of times shadow
The white blossom suspends the machinery
It's impermanence withheld - spring - bright - sharp

The stream flows an uneven script
A revel of light rolling soliloquy

As after the wilting and dropping
Petal white absolves with ruthless narrative

Upon reflection what is the change?
The ever quality the water word
But a permanence ? -bright - spring - clear

I very much enjoyed the melody of this write. I drifted away with it as though I could feel the calmness of the water and yet a hindsight view from above all and the knowing from the bridges view I was just an observer standing back. I felt this poem thru your view more then I heard your words..
Beautiful.

The image you suggest can often take our breath away. Time disappears with such views as nature takes over and I do think we can always go back in our minds to places that affect us in such a way. Good poem Michael.

I like capturing the world in various mediums for a long time I was a painter, but more recently I realize the same imperative can be used to direct words as well as brushes. more..
