Sunday

A Poem by Michael Oliver
"

I should have gone to church but thought ....nah so before work doodled this

"
Blinds and windows - rain and rain
Splashing - a plashing - a dripping - rain
Shines slates - ripples wind - weaves branches
Beneath a gray plain rain raining

Chicken roasts - the air seduced
Coffee prays an incense of temptation
So day comfortable - window mist wrapped
Silence - silence - the peace - the Sabbath

So to the point and yet not lacking in images and truth. Lovely, just lovely.

I like this. It is simple, yet elegant.

I like capturing the world in various mediums for a long time I was a painter, but more recently I realize the same imperative can be used to direct words as well as brushes. more..
