The lark ascending - thoughts from an English churchyard September 2012

In autumns slow warmth
                             Zephyrs mild dialogue
A theme birds improvise
                             The shadows capture
All this Platonic harmony
                             Defies the telling
A butterfly settles drinks
                             In reflective sunlight

Flowers cover the grave
                            Ashimmer with breeze
Caught chills of light
                           Tremble to nature
A prayer and remembering
                           Blown to where?
Its nod to community
                           Melts to infinity

The halo of reflection
                          Spur a speculation
A few white lines
                          Articulate a history
Fade from the hidden
                         At the recall
A life thus traced
                         By days certainty

About
I like capturing the world in various mediums for a long time I was a painter, but more recently I realize the same imperative can be used to direct words as well as brushes. more..
