Bored Fate

A Poem by Michael Oliver
"

observed a couple of woman who I knew siting at a table across a room - this followed

"
Sitting -two fates robbed of our acknowledgemet
Beside a table of an empty usage
Alone without fear of a single eye
A couple balanced by a mutual isolation

Awe is melted for this huddled pair
Ennui hunch, ennui lost and ennui vacant
Their tasked redundant from our present talk
No intervervention nor words of any correction

Hair dyed to conceal times passed frailty
Hair touched and pulled with repeated neurosis
They stare through the empty door of loneliness
Eyes with the blank cliche of unresponsiveness

Sat not noticed nor given a part
In a role before they assign our fate
Drink their coffee drink their tea - waiting
By themselves sidelined these women by themselves

Great poem! I love the way you are so poetic about something so mundane. I particularly love the way you manipulate words to express your observations and feelings. Awesome poem!

I like capturing the world in various mediums for a long time I was a painter, but more recently I realize the same imperative can be used to direct words as well as brushes. more..
