It would be so easy to ruin it all.

It would be so easy to ruin it all.

A Poem by Michael Fricker
"

In a stage prior to "Work in Progress." Not entirely sure where its going or where it has been but the title got stuck in my head months ago and I've been constantly tweaking it...

"

It would be so easy to ruin it all.

To take that one step past the line.

To go out of control.

It would be so easy to upset you.

To anger you.

It would be so easy undo everything.

There you are resting in my chat list.

There is your name in my text message threads.

There is your phone number in my contacts.

It would be so easy to call out.

Through too many mediums.

Too many reasons not to.

It would be so easy to ruin it all.

I’m treading water, making careful moves.

Little steps one by one.

Making sure I do not leap over that line with zeal.

Pushing down the wants so that they do not win.

When it would be so easy to try again.

But would that ruin it all? It should not be so easy.

Love these lines:

Through too many mediums.
Too many reasons not to."
