Two wondrous Sapphires within a jewelled face Caressed by sunlight They sparkle such blue light Divine the depths of Sapphire fire Such beauty lies within wondrous eyes I swim within their depths The warm love of azure lagoons Visions sing into my mind The gentle warmth of love divine My soul alive with light Deeper into the heart of sapphire love What joy to be lost in precious eyes Two priceless jewels Shining forth from beauty's face Oh, the grace that dream can bring Happy to be lost in a Heavenly glow That does come from sapphire eyes

though we read many poems about the beauty of eyes specially the blue ones, but yours is different and unique! for me it speaks about a whole world not only the world of those eyes, it's like You are connecting to a higher world through them, some really wonderful spiritual images, this flows one flows with music.

This poem harkens to cat eyes. No other eyes carry such intensity, when it comes to the blue & green shades. I love your symbolism, that these blue eyes could represent whatever looks/probes deep inside, such as God or nature or serendipity. Frankly, I'm not a fan of using the word "blue" more than once in a poem. I believe, if you need to say it again, find a different way to say it. Just my opinion on word usage in general. There are so many different imaginative ways to say "blue"! (((HUGS)))

I wonder if it's a bit of a cultural thing. I'm here where at least 50% of the population has immigrated from the east or south -- all with dark hair & dark eyes. I like blue eyes, but dark eyes RULE!!!! *smile*
